BookFest St. Louis, the Central West End’s newest event, topped the list of can’t-miss arts activities in the St. Louis Post Dispatch’s 2017 Fall Arts Guide!
The Post’s Jane Henderson highlighted some of the book festival’s biggest names — including headliner Sherman Alexie — as well as a few of the featured events planned for Sept. 23, such as a special high tea with bestselling historical fiction writer Amy Stewart.
Also appearing on Henderson’s list were two of the book festival’s most St. Louis-centric offerings — “A Special Trust: Remembering Patricia & Fred McKissack,” which honors two much-admired local children’s authors, and “Prufrock and Other Observations,” a reading of one-time St. Louisan T.S. Eliot’s 12 Prufrock poems.
