Show Me St. Louis went behind the scenes with Mary Engelbreit to check out her new show, “Mary Engelbreit From the Archives.”
The monthlong show, which culminates with a reception for the artist during BookFest St. Louis, features rarely seen work from the early days of Engelbreit’s career, when the beloved illustrator showed regularly at the Central West End’s Left Bank Books.
“They let me show there before I really had done anything,” Engelbreit told KSDK. “And the shows at Left Bank brought a lot of attention to my work.”
